Bonjour Sweet Mimi French...on Etsy!

Today, March 21, my dear sweet little Mimi is five months old.
In celebration, I have opened up an Etsy shop for her...

Inspired by all the fun we've been having with her cute French name, Mimi's shop is selling French inspired felt accessories made from wool blend felt... Rings and hair clips (so far). Prices for the current offering range from $12-$14, with pendants coming soon. I hope that as Mimi gets older, she'll be excited to create her own designs for her already established Etsy shop.

It's been lots of fun getting it ready, doing lots of research of french treats:-) Gorgeous strawberry delicacies, chocolate masterpieces, raspberry tarts...hard work i must say:)
We are excited to announce that her line will be available at her first retailer soon, The My Aunt Debbie Shop, at 310 North Queen Street in Lancaster. Keep an eye open for little pastry hair clips and bold souffle rings at this favorite Lancaster destination!

And here's the best bit for you: Be one of the first three historic sales in Mimi's Etsy shop, and her Momma will send you a super special felt treat:-) Visit www.sweetmimifrench.etsy.com to see the fresh selection first hand.

Look what I ordered!

oh what a tiny little picture! this is felt scraps from Etsy's AtomicBlue! I am using them on my new cabinet doors and magnets to create little felted houses with.
These are her scraps, they are just beautiful.
still can't tell the news.....and it's REALLY good!
in other news, I am freecycling/craiglisting things in my house and fixing up Max's basement playroom. It currently looks dreary and dreadful and packed full of toys and I'm slicking it out, and making it look more focused. I have a big list of items I need, many I need from IKEA, but I was clever and resourceful and I'm using paint I had, the existing curtains, etc.
I am dissing any "kid" oriented storage solutions and I'm going hardcore and buying metal stainless steel shelving.
I'm thinking of putting toys in clear laundry baskets that have dots cut out on them, putting all the games in a large storage unit, and putting the TV on an IKEA red PS unit...coolness for years to come, and nice and tidy and slick:-)

It's Friday!!!!

It's Friday and it's warm! Check out these cuties from cutecumber...
Mr. Little and I had an adventure at the park today when we were SURE we found the missing dog advertised Lost in the neighborhood with a Generous Reward Offered if Returned! he was tied up in the yard next to the park.
we even called his name, "Xander?" and he turned to us. again and again.
We went back to find the poster, brought it to the dog to match him to the picture, "WOW!!! We FOUND him!" red spots, curly tail..even the same collar!
rushed back to the house. called the number: "are you still missing your dog?"
"no, we got him back"
He was back in their yard!!!

Snow Blitz

The first significant snow of the year arrived last night. I am now officially on a weekend painting blitz. I completed four doors today, with a few more in the works tomorrow. (mostly small doors).
Here is what happened when I realized I could use crayons on unfinished wood!
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9769995 (just seal it with a sealer when you're done!)

In other news I ordered my new business cards. Am I crazy?!
They say: Call for an Appt. to Visit my Studio!

but they also say a couple of cool things:

Available for Commissions and Shops
and
Support the Arts in Lancaster City!

and they look really cool :-) "Art made from Salvaged Treasures"
