A winter WONDERland: Holiday pieces at My Aunt Debbie

Between shows I created a new stash for the My Aunt Debbie Shop (310 North Queen Street Lancaster, PA). Debbie got a little squeeze in this morning during my felty flower delivery...and Mimi wore my vintage baby sweater for the visit, knitted by my Grandma.

Debbie's shop features work by herself, local Lancaster artists, and others...here's what else caught my eye today...

New Stuff for the Lancaster Yarn Shop

I like these, they took me longer than others I've made. They are pretty big doors, about 18 inches long. I added Rachel-Marie's yarn to them with a wood glue, my new favorite adhesive! it works great, I just let it dry for a few hours. I really love how the yarn looks- it adds a complicated interest:-). It reminds me of rope!

A visit to the village of Intercourse, PA

So me and the boys took advantage of the sunny afternoon and went to Intercourse, PA, home of Amish quilts and the Old Country Store, which is a famous fabric store. I got some neat fabric for my art there, including a red Moda fabric.
here are some more pics from the day:

some scenery along the way...
beautiful quilts at Village Quilts.

It was a neat day...I forgot about the whole tourist thing here. It was amazing...Feb 7 and they had someone directing parking, and hardly a place to park! Worth it though!

New magnets for the Lancaster Yarn Shop and a little sign too!

Rachel-Marie gave me this little sheep to paint for the LYS shop yesterday. She also gave me some of her destash. So I used her awesome pinky handspun yarn on the sheep's pole, and painted it to match. I love this little sheep! I kept putting him around my living room:-)
now it's at the shop in the window!!!

and these are little mixed-media magnets I made for the Lancaster Yarn Shop to happily compliment their shop full of gorgeous yarn! find them there tomorrow!

The sun was made using Rachel-Marie's handspun yarn. It's adhered to a wool felt circle.
